Equine Assisted Development
Equine Assisted Development is a form of experiential learning that involves horses as active participants in educational activities. Engaging with horses in this manner can help individuals develop valuable life skills such as communication, leadership, problem-solving, and emotional regulation. The presence of horses in activities can foster a unique learning environment that encourages participants to engage in introspection and self-discovery. Through interactions with horses, participants can gain valuable insights and perspectives that promote personal growth and development. Equine Assisted Development is increasingly recognized and utilized as a powerful tool for enhancing emotional intelligence, building confidence, and improving overall well-being. All sessions are delivered in a safe, private and calm environment, to ensure clients get the most out of their session. We offer group work as well as individual sessions. Each session is 1 hour and is ground-based, no riding.
“My son was overwhelmed the other day in the specialists waiting room. He started using the breathing techniques you taught him to calm himself down. I was so pleased to see this and shared this with the Principal, support staff and his school teacher in our meeting today. We all agreed how beneficial Herd By Horses is, teaching him life long skills. Thank you Kelly. I really appreciate your time you spend with my son...” SL
